Quick autumnal outfit post...

Butterscotch & Chocolate
I never would have thought to put chocolate brown and mustard yellow together, but lo and behold, it just worked!

color crush:

mustard yellow and bright aqua

Loving this color combo lately.  I find that I go through phases with my wardrobe in terms of color.  I get on a color kick and kind of go a bit crazy for it.  I pepper everything with my current color obsession.  A few years ago it was eggplant purple (even planned my wedding around that one) then it was olive green and now it is definitely mustard yellow...Just realized that I described all those colors with references to food, so maybe I like these colors just because I'm hungry!  In any case, I want to wear lots of mustard colored things in my wardrobe this spring and summer.  It's just so light and happy, but with some complexity about it too.  Mustard yellow is the color of my life right now.

The idea to combine it with bright aqua is basically thanks to the influence of my best friend McNally.  She is thinking of doing a similar color combo of lemon yellow and aqua for her upcoming wedding and I simply love the look she's creating.  It's so much fun.

McNally, her friend Danielle and I are going to look for bridesmaids dresses today and I bet that we find some frocks in one or both of these fun and flattering hues.  Hopefully I'll have pics to post later.  Enjoy your Saturday!

Color Crush:

My current color obsession: bright marigold yellow with a deep sultry eggplant purple.  So dramatic!

Color Crush: Fushia & Olive

I am really liking the pairing of these two very opposite colors.  Super feminine Fushia with subtle a deep Olive green.  Whatcha think?

{Color Crush}

Red & Aqua

I love this color combo, and think it makes for a nice Valentine's day palate beyond the traditional red and pink.  I would love to have this outfit for a special date with the boy.  What do you think?
